Looxx Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 April 2026
This privacy policy describes how the Looxx iOS application ("the App") handles your information.
◆
What we collect
- Photos you choose to upload (including face data). When you confirm a portrait inside the App, the photo you selected — which contains your face — is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and forwarded to OpenAI's image-generation service to compose your three result plates (Lifestyle, The Salon, Wardrobe Palette). See the dedicated section below for full details on face-data handling.
- Purchase history. Apple's App Store records your in-app purchases. We receive a signed transaction identifier from Apple to verify and deliver your purchased session credits.
- Basic technical data. Standard iOS system information (device type, OS version) and crash logs may be collected by Apple's frameworks. We do not collect any of this for advertising or tracking.
◆
Face data
Looxx works by sending the portrait photograph you select to a server-side image-generation pipeline that produces stylized images of you. Because the photograph contains your face, the following section sets out — explicitly — how face data is handled.
- What face data is collected. The single still photograph you actively choose inside the App and confirm in the cropper. We do not run on-device facial-recognition, do not extract or store facial landmarks or biometric templates, and do not collect video or any other live face data.
- How it is used. The photograph is used solely as the conditioning input to OpenAI's
gpt-image-2 image-edit API in order to compose your three result plates: a four-frame lifestyle photo essay, a six-style hairstyle grid, and a six-tone wardrobe-palette grid. It is not used for identification, authentication, advertising, training, profiling, or any other purpose.
- Who it is shared with. Only with OpenAI as the third-party processor that performs the image generation, transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. As of this writing, OpenAI's API terms state that customer API inputs are not used to train OpenAI's models. OpenAI's processing is governed by the OpenAI Privacy Policy. The photograph is never sold or shared with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third party.
- Where it is stored. The photograph passes through our backend (a Cloudflare Worker) only in-memory for the brief duration required to forward it to OpenAI and return the generated images to your device. We do not retain a copy of the photograph on our servers, in any database, or in any logs after the request completes.
- How long it is retained. Zero retention by Looxx. The photograph is deleted from server memory the moment the generation request completes (typically within 30–60 seconds). Generated images are returned to your device and cached in the App's local sandbox; you may save them to your iOS Photos library at your own discretion.
- Your rights. Because we do not retain your photograph, there is no stored face data for you to request access to or deletion of. You can revoke photo-library access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Looxx, after which the App can no longer access your photographs.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, address, location, contacts, or any other personal identifier.
- We do not require an account, login, or sign-in.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
How your portrait is used
- Your portrait is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our backend, which forwards it to OpenAI's image-generation API.
- The portrait is processed only to compose your result plates. It is never used for model training, advertising, or any other purpose.
- OpenAI's processing of your portrait is governed by their Privacy Policy. As of this writing, OpenAI does not retain customer API inputs for training.
- We do not retain a copy of your portrait on our servers after the generation completes.
How generated images are stored
- Generated images are returned to your device and cached locally inside the App.
- You decide whether to save them to your iOS Photos library or share them.
- We do not store your generated images on our servers beyond the brief moment required to deliver them to your device.
In-app purchases
- Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not see your payment method or financial information.
- We receive a signed transaction identifier from Apple to verify and unlock the purchased session credits.
- Each session credit (one input portrait → three result plates) is decremented from your remaining balance once the generation succeeds.
Children's privacy
Looxx is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us so the relevant data can be deleted.
Your choices
- You can decline to upload a portrait at any time. The App will not function without a portrait, but no information is sent until you explicitly choose one and confirm the consent screen.
- You can revoke photo library access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Looxx.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
